Who we are
This policy applies to Yellow Capybara Pty Ltd (ACN 699 946 006, ABN 12 699 946 006), a company registered in Australia, and to our product Icarus. We are committed to handling personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
We collect:
- Account details — such as your name, email address and the details you provide when you create an account as a coach or a client.
- Training data you enter — including programs, exercises, sets, metrics and any injury or health notes you choose to record in the app.
- Device data — basic technical information such as device type, operating system and app usage, used to keep the app working and to diagnose problems.
Why we collect it
We use this information to provide the Icarus app, connect coaches with their clients, let you log and track training activity, communicate with you about your account, and improve the reliability and usefulness of the product. We do not use your training or health data for advertising.
Where your information is stored
Your information is stored in Australia, in the Sydney region. We do not store personal information overseas.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Icarus, such as hosting and infrastructure providers, and only under contract terms that require them to protect it and use it solely to provide their service to us. We do not sell personal information to anyone.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls and encryption of data in transit.
Retention
We keep your training records for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal information within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for a longer period by law.
Access and correction
You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please email us first at info@yellowcapybara.com.au so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
